UT play not pretty, but effective in win

OXFORD, Ohio — Tod Kowalczyk’s University of Toledo basketball team upped its win streak to six, seized a two-game lead in its division, and dropped a wet blanket over the smoldering Miami RedHawks.

Happy times Wednesday? Not hardly.

Want to upset the Rockets coach? Be careless with the ball. His team was pretty good at that, registering 21 turnovers in an otherwise complaint-free 83-70 victory at a mostly empty Millett Hall. READ MORE.

 

E. Michigan’s Bryant pumps in 26 points against Falcons

YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team did not give itself a chance to win Wednesday at Eastern Michigan.

The Falcons allowed 18 offensive rebounds and turned the ball over 17 times in a 69-57 loss.
