Oladipo paces Magic to win over Pistons

ORLANDO, Fla. — Rookie Victor Oladipo came off the bench to score 20 points and Glen Davis had 18, leading the Orlando Magic to a 112-98 victory over the Detroit Pistons tonight.

Josh Smith scored 25 points for the Pistons, who trailed by 20 points in the third quarter.

Maurice Harkless had 15 points and nine rebounds for the Magic, who held a 44-36 advantage on the glass over the NBA's top rebounding team.

Kyle O'Quinn blocked six shots for Orlando, including two straight by Brandon Jennings when the Pistons were attempting to come back in the third quarter.

Jennings shot 5 for 23 for the game and scored 15 points. He was one of six Pistons in double figures.

Oladipo, Arron Afflalo and Davis scored in double figures in the first half, when the Magic took a 14-point lead by shooting 51 percent.

The third Magic player off the bench tonight, Oladipo made 8 of 10 shots and all four free throws, added four rebounds and three assists and turned back a Piston rally with a steal and dunk midway through the fourth quarter.

The Pistons had 15 turnovers and missed nine of 23 free throws.

Afflalo finished with 15 points and seven assists and Jameer Nelson had 11 assists and seven points.
