Owens’ men and women pile up points in easy wins

The No. 10 Owens Community College women's basketball team jumped out to a 24-point halftime lead at home before adding a school-record 67 second half points in a 113-59 win over Sinclair Community College to improve to 19-2.

Led by Ashley Tunstall's season-high 22 points, the Express offense shot 47-for-90 (52.2 percent) from the field in the lopsided win. Tunstall, alone, was 10-for-12 from the field and 2-for-2 from the foul line.

MEN

OWENS CC 116, SINCLAIR CC 92

The No. 13 Express men (19-4) used the "Big Three" of John Murry, Shaakir Lindsey, and Bikramjit Gill to cruise past No. 17 Sinclair Community College on their home court.

The trio combined for 70 points, led by Murry's game and season-high 28 points in 29 minutes. Lindsey finished with 22 points, a season-high 12 assists, and five rebounds. Gill had 20 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
