Breakdown: Toledo (8-2-2) has won two in a row and six of its past seven games to move to the top of the Central Division with 18 points. Fort Wayne (5-4-1) is tied for fourth in the division with 11 points. … The Walleye are in a busy stretch of four games in five days, and eight games in 13 days. … This is the first of two special School Celebration Day games, with the majority of the crowd consisting of young students. Science experts from the Imagination Station will conduct experiments during intermissions. … Toledo defeated Indy 4-1 on the road Tuesday. Rookie goalie Matej Machovsky, who started in just his second game with the Walleye, earned his first win with 29 saves on 30 shots. Forward Mike Borkowski, who had a hat trick in a 5-3 win Saturday against Wheeling, had a goal and an assist. Forward Austen Brassard also had a goal and an assist. Borkowski leads the team with 11 points on five goals, while Christian Hilbrich is second with 10 points, also scoring five goals. … The Walleye lost 4-2 at Fort Wayne on Oct. 14. Toledo eliminated the Komets in the second round of the Kelly Cup playoffs last season. … Toledo goalie Pat Nagle (7-0-2) leads the ECHL in wins and ranks sixth in goals-against average (2.27). … Toledo is scoring 3.42 goals per game and allowing 2.58, while Fort Wayne has scored 3.80 per contest and yielded 3.00. … Forward Marc-Olivier Roy leads the Komets with 13 points, including eight assists, while goalie Garrett Bartus (2-1-0) has a 2.09 GAA. … Toledo leads the ECHL in average attendance at 8,163, 109.8 percent of capacity (a sellout is 7,431).
