Champagne wins Habitec Toledo open

David Champagne of Copley, Ohio, fired a 4-under-par 67 yesterday for a two-round total of 138, good for a one-shot victory and the $4,500 top prize in the Habitec Toledo Open, a Northern Ohio PGA event at Sylvania Country Club. Champagne edged out runner-up Brian Unk of Lewis Center.

Justin Bertsch of Sandusky tied for fifth at 1-under 141 while Jaysen Hansen topped the Toledo professional contingent with a 2-over 144, good for a tie for 18th place.

Gary Robison of Canton won the Senior Division at even-par 142. Gordon Meek of Sylvania tied for ninth among seniors with a pair of 77s.
