Celebrating the work of Roger Ebert

3/2/2010

"...as human beings we are capable of making sense of situations based on the thinnest slice of experience."

Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink and The Tipping Point.

GREAT READING: Thin Slices is back from a little southern California hiatus where we read this exceptional piece of journalism on Roger Ebert in Esquire magazine. The film critic best known for his thumbs up/thumbs down routine with the late Gene Siskel, has lost the ability to speak, eat, and drink because of the ravages of cancer. But his spirit has never been stronger, which is evident from reading his blog because the guy clearly can still write as well as ever. Plus, by all accounts he's a wonderful man. Here's celebrating a great journalist. Ebert is to appear Tuesday on Oprah Winfrey's show. RL
