IMPORTANT ENDORSEMENT: Simon Cowell told Jay Leno Monday night that he's a fan of northwest Ohio resident Crystal Bowersox on American Idol. Interesting that the king of snark is actually going out of his way to applaud Bowersox, who is scheduled to sing on the Fox show tonight. RL
OSCAR FALLOUT: Kudos to Kathryn Bigelow for being the first woman director to win the golden statue, thumbs down pretty much for Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin, and another Academy Awards night is under our belt.
