BG men win; UT, Falcon women lose

  • Falcons make plays, top Detroit

    The Bowling Green State University men’s basketball team found itself in a tough, gritty game against Detroit on Sunday. But the Falcons found a way to made the difficult plays in the final moments and claim a 64-62 win at the Stroh Center. Anthony Henderson’s rebound basket with 1:36 to play gave BG a three-point lead, and a fine defensive stand in the final seconds sealed the Falcons’ third straight win.

     

     


    Home woes continue for UT women

    The NCAA this year is letting college basketball teams pay for their players to go home for Christmas, a gesture the University of Toledo women are happy to accept. Two Rockets flew to Spain on Sunday evening. Another boarded a plane to London. Back at home. the Rockets in an 87-75 loss to Dayton suffered their fourth defeat of the season at Savage Arena.

     

     


    Cold-shooting BG falls to Purdue

    WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team wasn’t able to overcome a poor shooting game and suffered a 57-48 loss to No. 18 Purdue on Sunday. Jillian Halfhill posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons (9-2), while Alexis Rogers added 16 points.
