Fireworks in downtown Toledo start at 10 p.m.

The Blade’s Red, White, KABOOM Fourth of July celebration starts today at 6 p.m. Both sides of the Toledo riverfront, including Promenade and International parks, will feature music, food, and beverages.

Local country band Brynn & Emma & Friends performs at 7 p.m., followed by Motown-style cover band, Bruce Sims and The Jamm, from 8:30 to 10 p.m.

Pyrotecnico, a fireworks company, is organizing the show for both the Mud Hens game, which features a show around dusk, as well as the KABOOM show, which begins at 10 p.m. The latter show will be synchronized to music on WXKR 94.5.

Other event sponsors are Taylor Automotive Group and Humana Inc. Admission is free.

Monroe Street, between Summit Street and Huron Street, will be closed to vehicles and pedestrian traffic starting at 9 p.m. and remain closed until 10:30 p.m.

St. Clair Street, between Monroe Street and Washington Street, will close at 3 p.m. and remain closed until 10:30 p.m.
