Five Rockets named to All-MAC first team

The University of Toledo football team was honored a league most six times on the All-Mid-American Conference first team. The honors, which were voted on by the league's coaches, were announced today.

On the first-team for the Rockets are: center Zac Kerin, running back David Fluellen, Bernard Reedy, who was honored at receiver and punt returner, linebacker Dan Molls, and safety Jermaine Robinson. READ MORE

 

BGSU's Jones named MAC defensive player of the year

Bowling Green State University senior defensive tackle Chris Jones was named Mid-American Conference defensive player of the year, the league announced today.

Jones, a native of Brownsburg, Ind., finished with 41 tackles, including 19 tackles for loss and 12.5 sacks. The 6-1, 293-pound senior's sack total lead the MAC and was the tied for the third-highest total among FBS players, while his tackles for loss ranked second in the MAC and tied for seventh-best nationally.
