Paula Marks-Bolton, 90, thanks those in attendance during Lake High School's commencement Sunday. The Holocaust survivor was awarded an honorary diploma by the school. The class flower is the white rose, which was also the name of a small group of German university students who tried to organize resistance in 1942 to the Nazi policy of genocide.
