Vending company employee pleads guilty to stealing from machines

NAPOLEON — A former employee of Defiance-based Maumee Valley Vending pleaded guilty this week to engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity for stealing more than $5,000 from vending and change machines he was supposed to be servicing.

Jonathon Tassler, 40, of Napoleon faces up to eight years in prison when he is sentenced Sept. 24 by Henry County Common Pleas Judge John Collier.

Tassler admitted to stealing from machines at businesses across northwest Ohio between March, 2017, and March, 2018.
