This view of the great room, from the landing of the second floor, shows the expanse of space ready for you to enjoy.
Homes by Josh Doyle designed and built a living space full of discerning detail, luxury, and everyday amenities made special with thoughtful design and real style. The face of this home is a combination of stone, shake, and board and batten with a harbor blue accented gable, matching the front door. Two tall, solid columns welcome you home as you step onto the covered porch and pass through the door, showcasing lovely windows and framed with a large transom and sidelights. Just inside, the soaring ceiling of the foyer reaches nearly thirteen feet and an oil rubbed bronze mission style chandelier sheds warm light onto the hand scraped maple floor, which extends through the home.
To the left is a dining room, bright with sunshine and accented with a white board and batten wall panel theme that is repeated throughout. A snowy white ceiling is coffered by richly stained wood beams. A Mission-style oil rubbed bronze chandelier enhances the aura of relaxed elegance. Two archways here offer separate views, one to the expansive great room and one to the nearby den, which has full glass French doors.
Enjoy the spacious great room with its two story vaulted ceiling, abundant windows, and rustic, wood mantel with white hearth. The gas fireplace is just the right size to be an eye-appealing feature.
This kitchen has every detail you can imagine, plus more.
The open kitchen has an extra long and wide granite topped island with snack bar, with lovely mission style oil rubbed bronze pendant lamps overhead. The countertops are granite and the appliances are stainless steel. Drawers are pecan toned and generous in size, and feature slow closures to protect little fingertips. You’ll find a gas range top conveniently located near an inset microwave and standard oven. Here is a generous dining area, and a sliding patio door leading outside to a large and private covered porch.
Just off the kitchen is the door to a vast master-suite with a large bedroom, an amazing master bath in natural colors, which includes a step in tile shower accented with natural river rocks, two separate under mount sinks on opposing walls with granite tops, and an arched entryway to a his and her walk-in closet/dressing room area. A water closet has its own space and closet. The porcelain floor is sandstone beige tone and blends in with the calm neutrality of this relaxing space.
The mudroom is extra large and has a half bath, plus a cubby area with hooks and storage that mimics the board and batten theme found throughout, as well as garage access. The laundry room here has rich pecan-toned cupboards with granite tops and a perfectly situated window for laundry day gazing.
The handrail leading upstairs is deep brown pecan, and contrasts with the cream toned, extra wide stair steps in a pleasing fashion and mimics the contrast of the fireplace. The landing is large and each of the three bedrooms has a ceiling fan with a light kit. One bedroom, with walk-in closet, has its own in suite bath with step in shower having a molded seat. Off the hallway are two more bedrooms and a full bath having a soaking tub with shower, and dual sinks. A bonus room with dormer style ceiling is over the garage.
The fully finished basement features wide-open spaces, including room for theatre seating and a movie screen. This could be your work out or hobby area, or your man cave. A full kitchen with eat in area, granite snack bar with seating space, and full-sized ebony appliances will help you entertain guests. The staggered height of the cupboards adds interest, and the no-pinch drawers and oil-rubbed bronze hardware signal quality of design. A bedroom suite with closet and full bath plus step-in shower having two molded seats is located on this level.
