Man, 22, shot multiple times and killed in central city alley

If a homicide, it would be second in as many days, 24th of year

A 22-year-old man was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at the scene near Woodstock Avenue and Dorr Street late Wednesday, authorities said.

First responders found Shaun Garrod Flowers in the alley near 1219 Woodstock Ave., which is roughly in the area between Calvary Cemetery and Scott Park.

The shooting was reported about 10:10 p.m. About 10:15 p.m., a Life Squad was canceled before it arrived.

If a homicide, it would be the second in two days in the city and the 24th of the year in Toledo. The shooting death on Tuesday at Elm and East Bancroft Streets of Andrew J. Anderson, 31, was the 23rd homicide this year in Toledo.

Anyone with information on the latest shooting is asked to call the Toledo Police Investigative Services Section at 419-245-3142 or Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
