Two of three westbound lanes on the Ohio Turnpike were blocked early Tuesday by packages that scattered from a truck after it clipped another truck that was stopped on the right shoulder near the I-280 interchange in Lake Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol reported.
Nobody was seriously hurt in the 2:05 a.m. collision involving a UPS Freight truck and the stopped tractor-trailer that was being assisted by a utility truck, but it took more than seven hours to pick up the scattered packages and reopen the closed lanes, a patrol dispatcher said.
