Leaders from the city of Toledo and the suburban communities that buy its water will sign a memorandum of understanding to form the Toledo Area Water Authority on Wednesday.
The signing will take place at 10 a.m. at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce at 300 Madison Ave. in the second floor boardroom.
The Chamber paid for a consultant to help the nine parties reach an agreement on forming a regional water authority. Once the memorandum of understanding is signed, each community’s legislative body must approve the agreement before the new authority can officially form.
