The University of Toledo basketball team remained perfect today, dispatching Coppin State, 85-66, in front of 4,632 fans at Savage Arena.
The Rockets are 12-0 heading into Monday's test at No. 16 Kansas. The 12 wins to start the season are second most in program history, tying the 1940-41 team.

Rian Pearson led four UT scorers in double digits with 22 points. Julius Brown (18 points, seven assists), Justin Drummond (13 points) and Matt Smith (10 points) contributed to the cause. Jordan Lauf pulled down 10 rebounds, as UT won the battle of the boards by a season-high 47 to 25.
UT never trailed and led at halftime 44-24.
Coppin State (4-8) received 15 points from Andre Armstrong.
