The Walleye traded two players, a defenseman and a forward, today.
Defenseman Russ Sinkewich was sent to the Idaho Steelheads in exchange for defenseman Tyler Elbrecht. Forward Aaron Bogosian was traded to the Florida Everblades for future considerations.
Elbrecht appeared in 45 games this year with the Steelheads. The Edwardsville, Ill. native has picked up one goal, six assists, and has 110 penalty minutes. The rookie collected his first professional goal on Saturday night.
Sinkewich, who played in college at Bowling Green State University, is in his sixth pro season. He has scored one goal and has 16 assists in 33 games with the Walleye this year.
Bogosian, who was acquired in a trade from Florida late last season, has appeared in 19 games this season with the Walleye. Bogosian has three goals and nine assists.
Toledo (16-31-4) has lost a franchise-record eight straight games.
The Walleye next host Greenville on Saturday and Sunday.
