The Eaton Charitable Fund has awarded $55,000 to Toledo’s Imagination Station to help create Idea Lab, the science center’s planned new learning world in which visitors will be able to explore engineering and creative problem solving using up-to-date technologies.
“This is a great opportunity to get kids excited about those jobs and the technology associated with them,” said Jeff Finch, senior vice president and general manager at Eaton’s facility in Maumee.
Eaton Corp. PLC is a power management company focusing on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical power. Worldwide, it has 102,000 employees and customers in more than 175 countries. It is based in Ireland.
Idea Lab will be located on the lower level of the science center and is scheduled to open in 2015.
