MCCC asks for additional 1-mill levy
Monroe County Community College will ask voters for an additional 1-mill levy in November. The new continuing tax, if approved, would cost the owner of a $100,000 home about $48 per year and generate about $5 million annually for academic programs, technology, and facility renovations.

Monroe school board OKs Chromebooks
The Monroe Board of Education has approved spending $440,505 for the purchase of 1,350 Dell Chromebooks and 39 carts in which they will be stored, recharged, and delivered to classrooms. The Chromebooks will be used in the middle school and high school.
