Backyard pests have the itch to sting some more than others
The Toledo-area is facing one of the most severe mosquito seasons on record, said Paul Bowman, biologist with the Toledo Area Sanitary District, the local agency that monitors mosquito activity. The agency has 18 different traps spread throughout the local area and compared to last year the mosquito count is up “significantly,” he said. This is especially bad news for those who seem to be magnets for the the biting insects.
