It's a triple-header for the local art scene tonight.
In addition to the Salon des Refuses, the 86th annual Toledo Area Artists' Exhibition opens at 7:30 in the Canaday Gallery of the Toledo Museum of Art. Running through July 25, it's a juried collection of 100 pieces by 84 local artists. It shares gallery space with 26 pieces from the Toyohashi City Museum in Japan, part of a cultural exchange.
From 5:30 to 9:30, a reception will take place for the Athena Art Society's 101st exhibition, in the Center for the Visual Arts gallery, adjacent to the TMA. The juried show, which opened Monday, has 55 pieces and continues through July 9.
