An opening reception will be 8 to 10 p.m. Feb. 3 in Sam B's Restaurant for the unveiling of Building Together, a 48-inch-by-60-inch canvas created by people attending the Black Swamp Arts Festival in September. In addition, more than 100 new pieces in all media by 20 artists will be displayed through May. The show is coordinated by Prizm Creative Community. The restaurant is at 163 S. Main St. in Bowling Green.

Fifteen artists will celebrate an exhibit of their work from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday with a reception and music in the Toledo Museum of Art's Community Gallery on the lower level. Each artist produced at least one piece keyed to the Small Worlds exhibition in the Canaday Gallery upstairs. Three artists will create paintings at tomorrow's reception. The show is organized by Quest for Fire Studios, installed by Jerry Gray and Kerry Krow, and continues through March 22.

A reception for the work of Danielle Herrera will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 4 in Downtown Latte, 44 S. St. Clair St. Her wall pieces are made with recycled materials and will be on view through Feb. 28.

Wedding Gowns through the Ages are displayed through April in the Seneca County Museum, 28 Clay St., Tiffin. One gown for each decade from 1860 through the 1900s are in the front parlor of the circa 1853 18-room mansion owned by Tiffin's first millionaire, Rezin Shawhan, and now the museum's home. Shawhan married Della Laird in the parlor on Feb. 20, 1895. The gowns portray a variety of styles, veils, waistline sizes, fabrics, and colors that show the evolution to current styles. Tholepin Press & Studio hosts weekly life-drawing sessions from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays at 210 Elm St. The fee is $10 for adults and $7 for students. Poses vary from 5 to 90 minutes. Call for artists: The deadline is Tuesday for the You Are Here Toledo Project, in which a series of large, one-of-a-kind dots will be affixed to various outdoor public locations. One hundred of the circular designs, three-feet in diameter, will be selected. Themes should promote positivity and a sense of place. Interested participants must submit a digital portfolio including at least three examples of their work by Tuesday. Those selected will be notified by Feb. 7 and assigned a location for which they will create their dot. Final artwork will be due March 16. The Brown, LaBay, LaValley & Yager Exhibition will continue through Feb. 24 in the Parkwood Gallery, 1838 Parkwood Ave. A reception will be 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 3. The second annual Monroe magazine artist showcase will offer the creations of 14 people for purchase at an 8 to 11 p.m. party Feb. 3 (tickets $35/reservations required) followed by a free, open-to-the-public show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 4. Both events will be held in the ballroom of the IHM Motherhouse, 610 W. Elm Ave., and a portion of proceeds will benefit the River Raisin Centre for the Arts in Monroe. Information: 734-242-1100.

Call for entries: Photographers are invited to enter Photo 30, the 30th annual juried photography show of the Findlay Art League. Entries must be original and have never been exhibited in a prior league show. Work must be framed and/or wired and ready for hanging. Submissions should be delivered from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 23, and 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 at the league's gallery, 117 W. Crawford St., Findlay. Two exhibits open with a 6 to 8 p.m. reception Feb. 4 in the Wassenberg Art Center, 643 S. Washington St., Van Wert.
Movement in Black and Grey spotlights the ceramic works of Clyde E. Burt. It's the first show of Burt's work since his death in 1981. He was born in Paulding County's Melrose in 1922, won a 1957 designer/craftsmen award from the Chicago Institute of Art, and taught at the Fort Wayne School of Art and the Dayton Art Institute. One of his pieces, a bottle vase with a zig-zag pattern, is owned by the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
Running concurrently is Walk on the Wild Side, featuring work by 23 nationally published artists, illustrators, and sculptors who belong to Indiana Wildlife Artists.
