BOWLING GREEN -- Mark Cooper's goal with just 31.5 seconds on the clock in overtime gave the Bowling Green State University hockey team a 4-3 win over Minnesota State at the BG Ice Arena tonight.
Cooper posted a hat trick in the victory, which improved the Falcons' record to 6-4-3 overall and 4-2-1 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Minnesota State, the pre-season favorite to win the WCHA, falls to 4-7 overall and 2-3 in the league.
