BGSU, U. of Alaska skate to an overtime tie

BOWLING GREEN -- The Bowling Green State University hockey team skated to a 1-1 overtime tie with the University of Alaska, Fairbanks at the BG Ice Arena tonight.

Mark Cooper scored a first-period goal for the Falcons, who are now 12-9-5 overall and 9-6-3 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. Marcus Basara scored in the third period for the Nanooks (8-10-4, 5-9-2).

Tommy Burke finished with 31 saves for Bowling Green, while John Keeney stopped 26 shots for Alaska.
