BG’s Carpenter signs with AHL’s Sharks


BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University hockey forward Ryan Carpenter signed with the Worchester Sharks of the American Hockey League on Monday.

Carpenter played in 15 games as a junior for the Falcons this past season and had 16 points on eight goals and eight assists.

Carpenter, who was named to the All-Central Collegiate Hockey Association second team as a sophomore, finished with 79 career points on 37 goals and 42 assists in 100 college games at BG.

Carpenter and the Falcons finished their season on Friday when they lost 4-0 to Minnesota in a semifinal of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association tourney.
