BGSU, ex-football player settle head injuries case
A former football player at Bowling Green State University who said he suffered permanent brain injury following repeated concussions is to receive a $712,500 settlement from the university. The Ohio Court of Claims on Monday approved the settlement for Cody Silk, a former redshirt freshman offensive lineman. Mr. Silk had claimed in his 2013 lawsuit that BGSU coaches and medical staff failed to withhold him from practices after he suffered repeated concussions.
