Toledoan charged in stabbing attack

A central Toledo man has been charged with felonious assault after being accused of stabbing another man during a dispute at a house on Walbridge Avenue early Saturday, authorities reported.

Antion Johnson, whose age was not listed, was taken to University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio, with what Toledo police described as "serious wounds to his midsection," including a punctured lung, after the altercation reported at 12:30 a.m. A hospital spokesman had no public information about such a patient later Saturday.

Roderick Allan Worlds, 42, of 834 Fernwood Ave. was booked into the Lucas County jail pending arraignment Monday in Toledo Municipal Court on a single count of felonious assault. According to the court complaint, Mr. Worlds is accused of stabbing Johnson during a dispute in the 1400 block of Walbridge, according to an eyewitness.

Mr. Worlds acknowledged to police he had been in a confrontation with the victim, the complaint said.

The weapon was described as a "utility knife."
