A California man wanted for murder in his home state was arrested this week in Toledo, but he said in court Friday there had been a mix-up.
Deon Montea Archie, 21, of Wrightwood, Calif. appeared before Lucas County Common Pleas Judge Gene Zmuda who ordered him held in the Lucas County jail at least until authorities can confirm that he is the same man named in an arrest warrant from California charging him with murder.
Court records show Archie was arrested by Toledo police about 11 a.m. Thursday on Nebraska Avenue near Holland-Sylvania Road.
