WAUSEON — A Perrysburg man who was arrested by Fulton County sheriff’s deputies was being investigated for the theft of metal markers used to mark graves of military veterans from a Lucas County cemetery, authorities said.

James K. Long, 49, charged with fleeing and eluding, was arrested Friday in a stolen vehicle after a pursuit in rural Fulton County.

Bethany S. Miller, who was a passenger, fled and was arrested, authorities said, after they searched a cornfield.

Ms. Miller, of Providence Township in Lucas County, is charged with receiving stolen property and possession of drugs.

The suspects were being held in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio, Stryker.

Deputies said the grave markers were recovered with the assistance of the owners of Ohio Scrap Corp. in Delta, Ohio.
