Murder suspect arraigned

Marquis Walker is arraigned in Toledo Municipal Court on a charge of murder in the Oct. 13 shooting death of his ex-girlfriend. Police said Mr. Walker, 29, whose last known address was 1248 Willow Ave., shot Jordan Jones-Harris, 23, at the Tamaron Apartments on Alexis Road. Mr. Walker was arrested last week in Jonesboro, Ark., waived extradition, and was returned to northwest Ohio for arraignment in Toledo Municipal Court. His bond was set at $1 million, and he remained in the Lucas County jail Friday night pending his next court appearance next Friday. Ms. Jones-Harris had dated Mr. Walker for years but ended the relationship several months before the shooting, relatives said in October.
