MONROE — A Monroe Township stabbing suspect remained in the Monroe County jail Friday.

The suspect, Javion Olive, 24, turned himself in Wednesday to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, officials said. He was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. He was arraigned Friday.

Deputies allege that the suspect stabbed a 22-year-old LaSalle Township man at about 11 p.m. Sunday in the 1100 block of Delta Drive at the Willow Green Mobile Home Park. The man is recovering at a hospital, deputies said. A woman also suffered minor injuries when trying to stop the suspect.

Officials ask that anyone with additional information call 734-240-7530.
