Say good-bye to Didi

"...as human beings we are capable of making sense of situations based on the thinnest slice of experience."

Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink and The Tipping Point.

SHE'S GONE: Wouldn't that be cool if on American Idol they blasted the Hall and Oates song every time one of the women is voted off? We think so. Didi Benami was the latest woman to get

booted from the show, taking the dive Wednesday night. Of course Crystal Bowersox survives because, well, it's simple: she's better than the rest of the them. RL

APRIL FOOL: If you were wondering why Google isn't Google today -- it's Topeka -- here's why. RL

THE WEEK IN 'DUH': Puerto Rican singer and super-good dancer Ricky Martin has announced that he's gay, which was met with a combination of indifference and support. We at Thin Slices say good for him. Everyone should be happy with their sexuality and everyone else should shut up about it. The good news here is that it's not that big of a deal. Also, it's not like everyone didn't already know. In other Duh news, it looks like Sandra Bullock will dump her meathead husband Jesse James, who only cheated on her with four different women, including a tattooed love girl nicknamed "Bombshell." We're shocked! RL
