Mich. preservationist to discuss Civil War flags

MONROE — A presentation on preserving flags carried by Michigan’s Civil War regiments will be offered at the Ellis Library and Reference Center as part of the Monroe County Civil War Round Table lecture series.

Emily Miller, an employee of the Michigan Historical Museum, will speak at 7 p.m. Jan. 9 at the library, 3700 S. Custer Rd., Monroe.

Ms. Miller will discuss an effort to preserve the unique flags.
