Lucas County dogs for adoption: 4/16

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $50 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

The Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 11 and 12 by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

Shetland sheepdog, orange and white female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because dog had advanced liver disease, bullet in abdomen, poor prognosis for surgery, Willow Pond Boulevard, Sylvania, running at large.

“Pit bull,” orange and white female, unlicensed, dog aggression, Walden Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

German shepherd, black and tan female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/food guarder, Mettler Street, Toledo, running at large.

“Pit bull,” tan and white male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Benjamin Gamble, Airport Highway, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” tan female, unlicensed, aggressive/unsafe, Austin Street, Toledo, running at large.

German shepherd/boxer mix, orange and white female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia because dog was sick and had seizures, surrendered by Henry Lewis, Speilbusch Avenue, Toledo.

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred April 12 and 13 to Harry Houdini Husky Rescue and You Lucky Dog Rescue by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:
