Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 8/01

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $50 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed July 31 by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

German shepherd, orange female, unlicensed, dog aggression, Girdham Road, Swanton, running at large.

“Pit bull” mix, red and white female, unlicensed, fearful/​unsafe, Belmont Avenue, Toledo, running at large, dog was offered for transfer to rescue groups, but those groups did not have space to take the dog.

Pomeranian, tan female, unlicensed, stray, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because dog had a large tumor, Bancroft Street, Toledo.

Vizsla mix, orange female, unlicensed, stray, dog aggression, Highland Park, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” gray and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​food guarder, Underwood Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Dogs transferred July 31 to the Toledo Area Humane Society by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Boston terrier, black and white male, unlicensed, stray, Buckingham Street, Toledo.

Jack Russell terrier, white and black male, Boalt Street, Toledo, running at large.

Petit basset griffon, tan and white female, surrendered by Diana Lorigan, Angola Road, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” brindle and white female, Courtland Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Yorkshire terrier and poodle mix, tan male, Lewis Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Boxer mix, brindle and white female, Bronson Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Boxer mix, orange and white female, stray, South Erie Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” black and white male, Bronson Avenue, Toledo, running at large.
