Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $50 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed Sept. 12 and 13 by the Lucas County Dog Warden’s Office:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

Boxer, tan and white male, unlicensed, stray, aggressive/unsafe, South Expressway Drive, Toledo.

German shepherd, white female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia because dog had severely dysplastic hips, vision impaired by chronic keratitis, and was very disoriented, fearful, and very weak in rear quarters, surrendered by Erica Lapointe, Rohr Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull” mix, tan and white female, unlicensed, stray, failed behavior evaluation/body handling, West Bancroft Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” black and white male, unlicensed, stray, failed behavior evaluation/body handling, Colburn Street, Toledo.

Boxer, brindle and white male, unlicensed, stray, dog aggression, Lallendorf Road, Oregon.
