Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 4-12

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 10 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” brown and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4 out of 4 on April 9), Kensington Road, Toledo, running at large.

Chow chow mix, black female, unlicensed, veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (emaciated, stiff, difficulty walking, entropian and chronic severe dry eye, pain, grim prognosis), Pasadena Boulevard, Toledo, stray.

“Pit bull,” gray and white female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​food guarder (scored 5 out of 5 on April 9), Rosedale Avenue, Toledo, running at large.

Dogs transferred April 10 to Planned Pethood under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Boxer mix, brindle and white female, Norwood Court, Toledo, running at large.

“Pit bull,” white and brown female, Drexel Drive, Toledo, running at large.

Weimaraner, silver male, Wilkins Road, Swanton, stray.

Weimaraner, blue male, Wilkins Road, Swanton, stray.
