Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed April 18 and 20-21 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull” mix, brown and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on April 17), Lagrange Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Mastiff, tan female, unlicensed, aggressive/unsafe, surrendered by Julie Matlock, Wilford Road, Sylvania Township.

“Pit bull,” blue male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (scored 4/4 on April 19), Montrose Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull” mix, tan and black male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3/5 on April 19), Batavia Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.
