Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 4-26

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

 

Dogs adopted

Dogs adopted out April 24 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable):

“Pit bull” mix, brindle and white female, surrendered by Patrick Mangold, Spielbusch Avenue, Toledo.

Pug/​beagle mix, tan and black female, Douglas Road, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

 

Dogs killed

Dogs killed April 24 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull,” white and black female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 3 out of 4 on April 23), Fassett Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

American bulldog mix, white and black male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Aiken Lori, Western Avenue, Toledo.

Siberian husky, white and gray male, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (cancer, pain), surrendered by Patrick Hamilton, Brophy Drive, Toledo.

American bulldog, white male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Kirsty Cook, Airline Avenue, Toledo.

Dogs transferred April 24 to Planned Pethood under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

German shepherd, tan female, Platt Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

German shepherd mix, black and brindle male, Elm Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull” mix, tan male, York Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
