Dogs killed

Dogs killed June 7-9 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

German shepherd, brown and black male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Christopher Drake, Michigan Avenue, Waterville.

“Pit bull” mix, white and blue male, unlicensed, bite history, surrendered by Esmerelda Abunada, Jersey Road, Oregon.

“Pit bull,” white and brown male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on June 7), Ventura Drive, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Chihuahua, black and brown female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (elderly with health problems), surrendered by Kathleen Zuniga, Oakmont Street, Toledo.

American bulldog, white and brindle female, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/body handling (scored 5/5 on June 7), Woodbridge Road, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” white and black female, Alvin Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” white female, Parkwood Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

English coonhound mix, red tick male, Frankfort Road, Holland, stray picked up by a control officer.

“Pit bull,” black and white female, South Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Pug, tan female, surrendered by Elizabeth Toth, Oaktree Court, Oregon.

Labrador retriever mix, black and white male, Georgia Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Three Pomeranians, one black and tan female, one yellow female, one apricot male, Lewis Avenue, Toledo, strays brought to the shelter.
