Lucas County Dogs for Adoption: 8-8

Dogs remain available at the Lucas County Canine Care & Control Office, 410 South Erie St., Toledo. For information, call 419-213-2800.

For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Dogs killed

Dogs killed Aug. 6 under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Breed and description; location seized; charge (if applicable). Dogs killed for poor behavior are scored on a scale up to 5, with higher scores being more aggressive:

“Pit bull” mix, brindle and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 4/​4 on Aug. 5), Dunham Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull,” black and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 3/​4 on Aug. 5), Oakwood Avenue, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

German shepherd, brown female, unlicensed, owner requested euthanasia (very elderly, unable to walk), surrendered by Ted Young, Twining Street, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” black and white male, unlicensed, failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (scored 3/​4 on Aug. 5), Detroit Avenue, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

German shepherd mix, brindle and white male, Islington Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Dogs transferred

Dogs transferred Aug. 6 to the Toledo Area Humane Society under the direction of Lucas County Canine Care & Control Director Julie Lyle:

Boxer, brindle and white male, surrendered by Robert Zpetz, Piedmont Drive, Toledo.

German shepherd mix, black and brown male, Pickle Road, Oregon, stray brought to the shelter.

“Pit bull” mix, orange and black male, Erie Street, Toledo, stray picked up by a control officer.

Lhasa apso mix, white and tan male, Sagamore Road, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.

Maltese mix, white male, Erie Street, Toledo, stray brought to the shelter.
