For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

German shepherd, black and brown female, unlicensed; fearful/​unsafe; stray taken to shelter Aug. 27 by Sara Grames, West Alexis Road, Toledo, from West Alexis Road, Toledo.

Boxer mix, white and black brindle female, licensed; failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (charged the gate, tried to attack another dog); returned to shelter Aug. 30 by Leslie Gamble, Park Street, Archbold, Ohio.

German shepherd, black and tan female, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (huge mammary tumor, elderly and weak); stray picked up by a control officer Aug. 29 at 1468 Prouty Ave., Toledo.

Rottweiler, black and tan male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (diabetic weight loss, sore that wouldn’t heal); surrendered Sept. 2 by Alexandra Graziani, South Marble Avenue, Alvordton, Ohio.

“Pit bull,” red male, unlicensed; owner requested euthanasia (bite history and extreme dog aggression); surrendered Sept. 4 by Cherrie Bohlke, Sumner Street, Toledo.
