Bankruptcy filings in northwest Ohio were down 2 percent in July when compared with July, 2012.
There were 425 filings in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Toledo, which oversees 21 counties. That’s down from the 436 in July, 2012, and less than half of the 852 in July, 2009.
Bankruptcy filings have declined year-over-year in 36 of the last 40 months. For the year, there have been 3,199 bankruptcy filings, down 9 percent from last year.
