PITTSBURGH — U.S. Steel Corp. says one of its top executives will take over as its chief executive in September as longtime leader John Surma moves toward retirement.
The steel company said Friday it elected Mario Longhi as CEO. Mr. Longhi, 59, is company president and chief operating officer. Mr. Surma, 59, will stay on as chairman through year’s end, then retire.
