U. of Findlay appoints Latta’s wife to a top post


FINDLAY — The University of Findlay has named Marcia Sloan Latta vice president for university advancement.

Mrs. Latta, the wife of U.S. Rep. Bob Latta (R., Bowling Green), will lead the university’s advancement division, which includes fund-raising, the Mazza Museum, and the Wolfe Center for Alumni, Parents and Friends. She will start Aug. 28.

Mrs. Latta has served as vice president for advancement at DePauw University, where she was responsible for alumni and development functions, organizing and launching a $250 million campaign, and overseeing the 18-month national celebration of the university’s 175th anniversary.

She has served as vice president of the Bowling Green State University Foundation and senior associate for advancement.

Mrs. Latta holds master’s and bachelors degrees in communications and a doctor of education in leadership and policy from BGSU and has completed Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education’s Management and Leadership in Education program.
