The Ohio Department of Education has named Fairfield Elementary School one of 37 High Performing Schools of Honor in the state. To qualify, a school must have a 90 percent or better average proficiency rate over a 5-year period on the Ohio Achievement Assessment or Ohio Graduation Test and meet other criteria, including having 40 percent or more of its students come from low-income households.
