Registration for the fall preschool program at the Toledo Zoo is currently available.
The year runs from September through mid-May, and offers classes for 3-year-olds who meet twice a week, and 4-year-olds who meet three times a week, and offers both morning and afternoon times for both age groups.
Space is limited to keep class sizes to a minimum, and zoo officials are encouraging anyone interested to enroll early by going online to www.toledozoo.org/preschool, by calling 419-385-5721, ext. 2004, or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
The zoo’s preschool center, which is located onsite at the zoo, is licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and offers a nature and animal-based curriculum based on the early-learning content standards for Ohio. It also includes nature observation, animal discoveries, story time, and fine and gross motor skill development, according to the zoo.
