Fluid Equipment Development Co. has pledged a $200,000 donation to the Foundation at Monroe County Community College, a portion of which will be used to establish the FEDCO Science and Technology Scholarship. The rest will benefit the Career Technology Center Capital Campaign.
To be eligible, scholarship applicants must be enrolled in industrial management technology, mechanical design technology, mechanical engineering technology, or product and process technology, and be a Monroe County resident with a 2.5 grade-point average or higher.
A one-page essay explaining why the applicant should be selected also should be submitted.
Under the terms of the scholarship, preference will be given to Jeffererson High School graduates and to students with financial need. Recipients must be enrolled at least two-thirds of the time during the scholarship year.
