The Toledo-based Center for Innovative Food Technology on Wednesday announced the winners of its sixth Food Product Development Contest: Reverend T’s BBQ Sauce, by Anthony Brubaker of Cygnet, Ohio, and LaRoe’s Poppy Seed Dressing, by David LaRoe of LaRoe's Restaurant in Grand Rapids, Ohio.
The contest showcases new local products that are on the cusp of being developed. Entrants were reviewed by a panel of judges who chose the winners on the basis of product viability, commercialization potential, business strategy, and overall marketplace appeal.
